COLOR POINT

The Color Point cat has a definite contrast between its' body and its' points. The points are the ears, mask, feet and tail. There is often a soft shading of color with in the body with the chest, chin, and bib areas being somewhat lighter in color. There is NO white on a color point cat!

MITTED

The Mitted cat is very similar to the Color Point as its' body and its' points also must have the contrast in color. The ears, mask, and tail are to be darker than the body. The body may have a soft shading of color. The major difference between a Mitted and a Color Point is WHITE. A Mitted should have white mittens on the front feet and white boots on the back legs. They also should have a white chin and a white belly stripe. Some Mitted cats also have a white blaze on the face.

BI COLOR

The Bi Color cat has the most white on its' body. While the points, ears, mask and tail must be colored, the mask must have an inverted "V" which should be as symmetrical as possible. The chest, stomach, all four legs, feet and ruff are to be white. The body of the Bi Color may have various markings of white and color pattern. The nose should be pink.

LYNX

The Lynx pattern is a pattern which over lays any of the other patterns: Color Point, Mitted or Bi Color. The lynx pattern is the "tabby" striping. This striping appears in different places depending on which pattern it over lays.
